Breville

Espresso machines are just like any other product. There are some brand names that are good and there are others who just manage to scrape by.

But how often can truly you say that you have met the best automatic espresso machine out there today?
The Espresso machines I have reviewed over the years, always performed decently in my books. But today, I can finally say that at last I have come across a machine which did everything right to impress me in ways I thought was never possible.
Coming in as one of the best espresso machines in my books, the Breville BES900XL is by far one of the most impressive machines I have managed to come across so far. And what surprised me the most was the sheer fact that it wasn’t only an espresso machine which just sat there looking good, but its long list of features actually lived up to its claims.

The reason why I say that is only because in my tenure as an espresso machine reviewer, I have come across countless espresso machines of every type and kind. But I have rarely come across a machine which looks good and performs exceptionally to for my cup of Italian Espresso. And the Breville BES900XL truly did that in more ways than one.

Specs Sheet
Before buying any espresso machine, it is quite common for users to go over the list of Spec Sheet no matter how brief it is. But how would you feel if your espresso machine didn’t do anything right, to actually live up to the list of promised features?

Well, say goodbye to that though, because the Breville has put out their best foot forward with the Breville BES900XL, which lives up to its spec sheet in every possible way. In a nutshell, the Breville BES900XL is:

The Positives

Now that we have all the basic features covered, I can move to the part what I liked most about the Breville BES900XL because why else would I do a review on it?

The first thing which attracted me the most about the Breville BES900XL would have to be it’s out of this world look. The overall stainless steel body gives the Breville BES900XL a unique look, which you have to admit, can captivate anyone’s imagination. And I would have to admit that, the Breville BES900XL is by far one of the best looking machines I have seen in a long, long time.

If you thought that the Breville BES900XL just sat there looking pretty and did nothing much to impress then think again, because this one of the most powerful machines you will ever come across. The dual boiler dedicated to steam and espresso gives the Breville BES900XL some much needed edge over the competition and I this is a feature which I have rarely seen in non-commercial espresso machines. Because of the dual boiler unit, users can always rest assured that they will be served only the highest quality of Italian Espresso with every serving and the best part of it all is the sheet consistency delivered with every shot.

The LCD display with programmable buttons also acts as the icing on top for the Breville BES900XL, which makes life a whole lot easier for the user and remembers your favorite choices every single time, keeping your favorite cup of espresso only a buttons push away.

The Negatives
For me the only downside with this mechanical monstrosity would have to be the missing inbuilt grinder, which would have significantly reduced the effort of grinding the beans to perfection every single time you want a cup of espresso. But if you don’t mind grinding your own beans to perfections, then the Breville BES900XL is truly an espresso machine you should not miss out on.

The Bottom Line
After reviewing all the ins and outs of the Breville BES900XL, the bottom line for me would have to be that if you truly want a professional espresso machine, then perhaps there are only a handful of machines like the Breville BES900XL which will give you all your money’s worth. And it doesn’t matter if you’re an average drinker or a coffee connoisseur, the Breville BES900XL is surely worth giving a shot.
