Pixie is the best solution to have a super automatic espresso machine. This is absolutely the most simple and easy machine to own. And even if it is not cmomparable with the best espresso machines on the market at this price level it offer an high quality espresso.

In recent times, the Nespresso C60 Pixie Espresso Maker has come in as one of the best home espresso machines.

Brewing coffee in less than 30 seconds, the Nespresso C60 has drastically managed to change how people look at home brewed coffee. But what makes the Nespresso C60 stand out the most is the fact that coffee brewed from the Nespresso C60 makes tastes nothing like the traditional machine brewed coffee which people have gotten so used to.

Instead, it brews only the finest and most delicious cup of coffee in one of the shortest time frames, despite its portable 12.8 inch X 4.33 inch X 9.25 inch frame. Living up to the Nespresso name which has proved its worth as one of the best non commercial espresso machines makers in the past 25 plus years.

How Nespresso Changes Espresso

Invented in 1976 by Eric Favre, a long time employee of Nestle Switzerland. The Nespresso system had the potential to change the way the world looked at home espresso machines.

But it wasn’t until 1988, that Nespresso became the commercial success it is today with the help of Jean-Paul Gaillard. Who introduced us to one of the best home espresso machines way back in 1990.

Despite having invented one of the most technologically advanced espresso machines of our generation, it was his lack of marketing skills which kept Favre starving for success for almost 12 years.

And when Gailliard decided to join his team, he got what was long due for him. Today more than two decades later Nespresso is one of the most trusted name in espresso machines and other products, and the Nespresso C60 is the classic example which clearly demonstrates the technical edge Nespresso has over its competitors.

The Good

The Nespresso C60 Pixie Espresso Maker truly stands out as the little giant, coffee maker which manages to satisfy the users with some of the most powerful features. But few features which start out from the rest are:

  1. The compact size and overall light body weight makes it extremely easy to carry and use the Nespresso C60 anywhere.
  2. The powerful induction heater performs extraordinarily to heat the water up super fast. To get a clearer picture, when you pour water into the Nespresso C60 and turn it on, the water gets heated even before you can choose your personal flavor of

  3. Despite its small size and instant heating abilities, the final output from the Nespresso C60 tastes nothing like machine made coffee. Rather the coffee made with the Nespresso C60 tastes as it was just delivered from a high end cafe.
  4. Making coffee with the Nespresso C60 is also a lot easier than other espresso machines. All the user needs to do is turn on the machine, wait for the light to stop blinking, add water and capsule, and you have freshly brewed coffee under 30 seconds. You don’t need to worry about the internal pressure or temperature, and you don’t have to think if the milk and water aregetting mixed properly. Just push the butting, and you’re done.
  5. Perhaps the best feature of Nespresso C60 is the auto power off feature which turns off automatically after 9 minutes, preventing any unwanted short circuits or burnouts and the water level viewing window also allows to easily monitor the water levels.

The Bad

Even though there aren’t to many cons with the Nespresso C60, but it would be entirely wrong if I said that the Nespresso C60

didn’t come with a few cons of its own. Despite being limited to a small number, these cons should be kept in mind and are as follows:

  1. One of the biggest complaints with the Nespresso C60 is that it tends to leak from time to time, which mostly arises when the tank is filled beyond capacity or it not installed properly. There also been few instances where the tank itself was damaged while being delivered, which made it prone to leaking.
  2. Being small in size has its share of advantages, but it also limits the use to up to few times. Which means that if you’re planning on making 50 cups or more in one sitting, then chances are that the machine will short out completely.

The Verdict

Having said the Nespresso C60 share of pros and cons, the final verdict on it would be that the Nespresso C60 is one of the top ranking non commercial espresso makers under the $200 mark. And it is definitely worth checking out. But if you’re planning to make more than 50 cups a day, then you’re better off using a commercial espresso machine.
